SIM Card Size Chart
Definition of each size:
What’s a SIM card?
SIM stands for Subscriber Identity Module. The SIM is a tiny plastic card with an integrated chip. When you insert it into your device, the SIM card allows the network to identify your device.
What are the different SIM card sizes?
Depending on the device’s manufacturer, each device has a SIM tray of a specific size for the SIM card. Some are about the size of your fingernail (and in the case of an eSIM, not even measurable since they’re not a physical card). Regardless, they all work to make your phone usable as a mobile device.
Currently, SIM cards come in three different sizes: Mini/Standard, Micro, and Nano.

Standard SIM card
It is the the oldest and largest type of SIM card available at 15 x 25mm. If your device requires a standard SIM, all you’ll need to do is insert the SIM into your device without punching out the smaller SIMs in the pack. Easy!
Micro SIM card
It’s one size down from a Standard card coming in at 12 x 15mm. If you require a Micro SIM for your device, simply pop out the medium-sized SIM from the centre of the SIM card. Some popular mobile phones that use Micro SIMs include Samsung Galaxy Core Prime, Samsung Galaxy J2, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.
Nano SIM card
True to its name, it’s the smallest of the bunch, coming in at 8.8 x 12.3mm. Nano SIM cards are by far the most widely used, so if you’re buying a new phone you’ll almost certainly need one of these. The iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 7, iPhone 6 & 6 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S8, S7 and S6 are popular devices that require a Nano SIM.
How do I know what SIM card size I need?
SpinTel’s SIM card fits any size your device requires as you’ll receive a 3-in-1 SIM. Simply take your SIM tray out to check your SIM card size and punch out the Standard, Micro, or Nano SIM card size that you need.
