How to configure ASUS GT-AX11000 ROG modem

Estimated Reading Time: 1 Minutes

To get connected via your ASUS modem, you’ll need to log into your modem gateway. Note: This can be done on most mobile devices, but we recommend doing these steps with your PC if you have one.

Logging into your modem

With your device connected through wired or wireless to your modem, launch a web browser and enter “http://router.asus.com” in the address bar, then press [Enter].

If the IP address does not work or if it has been changed, check your router’s IP address. For instructions, click here.

On the login page, enter the default user name (admin) and the password that you have set. Otherwise, check the sticker on your modem for the default logins.

Note: The auto-detection of your ISP connection type takes place when you configure the wireless router for the first time or when your wireless router is reset to its default settings.

Follow Quick Internet Setup, otherwise, click Skip to manual setting and manually configure your modem if it failed to detect your Internet connection type.

1. Go to Advanced Settings > WAN > Internet Connection tab

2. Under Basic Config, change WAN Connection Type to PPPoE.

Enter your NBN username and password provided to you via email.

3. Hit Apply to update the settings.

Wait 3-5 minutes for the modem to go online, then test the service.
