Troubleshooting Website Access Issues on the SpinTel Network
Estimated Reading Time: 2 MinutesSometimes you may find that certain websites won’t load while others work normally. This guide will help you diagnose and resolve issues when specific websites are not accessible on the SpinTel network.
Step 1: Check if the Website is Online
- Try opening the website on a different device (e.g., phone or tablet using mobile data).
- You can also use an online service such as “Down for Everyone or Just Me” to confirm if the site itself is down.
If the site is down globally, you’ll need to wait until it’s restored. If it’s only inaccessible on your connection, continue to the next steps.
Step 2: Clear Your Browser Cache
- Close and reopen your browser.
- Clear cache and cookies from the browser settings.
- Try accessing the website again.
Sometimes, stored cache data can prevent pages from loading correctly.
Step 3: Change DNS Settings
Some websites may not load due to DNS resolution problems. You can try switching your DNS server:
1. Open your network settings.
2. Change the DNS server to a public option, such as:
- Google DNS: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
- Cloudflare DNS: 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1
3. Save changes and reconnect.
Retry the website once the DNS settings are updated.
Step 4: Restart Your Network Equipment
- Power off your modem/router for at least 30 seconds.
- Turn it back on and wait for the lights to stabilise.
- Reconnect your device and check the website again.
A simple restart often resolves temporary network issues.
Step 5: Perform a Network Reset (Device Level)
If the issue continues, try a network reset on your device:
- On Windows: Open Command Prompt and run the following commands one by one:
- ipconfig /flushdns
- ipconfig /release
- ipconfig /renew
- ipconfig /flushdns
- On Mac: Use Terminal and run sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder.
Then, restart your device and test the website again.
Step 6: Check with SpinTel Support
If you’ve tried all the above steps and the website is still not accessible, the issue may be at the ISP or upstream provider level. Please contact SpinTel Support and provide:
- The website address you’re trying to access
- The steps you’ve already tried
- Any error messages you see
Our team will run additional checks, including ISP-level diagnostics, and assist with resolving the issue.
