To get connected via your Netgear modem, you'll need to log into your modem gateway. Note: This can be done on most mobile devices, but we recommend doing these steps with your PC if you have one.

Logging into your modem

To access the modem gateway, enter in the address bar of a web browser. If it does not work or if it has been changed, check your router's IP address. For instructions, click here. Default Router IP Login

Log in with the account you set for the modem router, otherwise, use the following details and hit Continue.
• Username: admin
• Password: telstra

To view or specify the settings of your modem, follow the steps below:

1. On the Basic tab, go to Internet

2. Select Yes for "Does your internet connection require a login?" and make sure the provider has PPPoE selected. (Leave WAN Uplink Mode unticked)

• Enter the Username (Login) and Password provided to you via email when the order was completed and click Apply.

If you are setting up your modem with an NBN box,

  • Go to Advanced > Setup > WAN Setup

  • Tick Auto WAN Syncing

  • Click Apply to save

Wait 3-5 minutes for the modem to go online, then test the service. Reboot modem if needed.
