Service Class and Definition

The table above provides a summary of the different service classes and their definitions. It is important to note that service classes 0, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 20 are not yet serviceable.

Installation Timeframes

The installation timeframes for each service class vary from 2 to 20 business days, depending on the service class and whether a technician visit is required. It is important to note that for FTTP, FW, and HFC, customers can still use the existing copper and porting can take up to 5 days to complete after NBN completion.

Phone Activation Timeframe

For phone activation, the completion date for bundle NBN transfers (NBN and phone) without porting required and SpinTel supplied modem is 3 days after the submission date.

For bundle NBN transfers with no porting required and BYO modem, the completion date is the same as the submission date.

For bundle NBN transfers with porting required and any modem, the completion date is 5-10 business days after the submission date. For business phone porting, transfer may take 5-6 weeks in case of complex porting (i.e., the number is linked with other numbers or has complex services - eg: ISDN, Line Hunt etc).

For standalone NBN transfers with BYO modem, the completion date is the same as the submission date, and for standalone NBN transfers with SpinTel supplied modem, the completion date is 3 days after the submission date.

Conclusion

This article has provided customers with important information on NBN service classes and installation timeframes, phone activation timeframes, and NBN transfers.
