How Do You Connect Your Smart Modem Gen 3 Cobra XH?

Depending on your nbn connection type, connect one of the following:

  • If there is no NBN Connection Box installed, plug a telephone cable from the telephone wall socket into the grey DSL port on your Smart Gen3 Modem.

  • If there is an NBN Connection Box installed, plug an Ethernet cable from the UNI-D port on your NBN Connection Box into the red WAN port on your Smart Gen 3 Modem.

  • Connect any of the 4 LAN ports on the back of your router to your PC (optional)

  • Connect the Power port on the back of your router to your power socket.

To get connected via your Smart Modem Gen 3, you'll need to log into your modem gateway.

Note: This can be done on most mobile devices, but we recommend doing these steps with your PC if you have one.

If you are configuring the modem wirelessly, connect to the Wi-Fi network printed on the label attached to your modem. You can also check the wireless security card for the WIFI network name and the password which can be found inside the modem box.

Alternatively, you can plug in an RJ-45 Ethernet cable from your computer or laptop to any of the LAN ports on the back of your modem.
