How to Configure D-Link COVR-1100/1102/1103

This guide will assist you in connecting your D-Link COVR 1101/1102/1103 (AC1200 Dual Band Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi System) to SpinTel network.

Is D-Link COVR-1100 NBN Ready?

The D-Link COVR 1100/1102/1103 is a modem router that will also work with SpinTel for FTTC, HFC, FTTP, and Fixed Wireless NBN services.

How Do You Set up Your D-Link COVR-1100?

There are three ways to set up the D-Link COVR-1100.

Setup Wizard

Manual Configuration

D-Link WiFi In-App Setup

  1. Search and install the free D-Link Wi-Fi app available on the App Store or on Google Play. You can also scan the QR code on the right, which will take you to the respective D-Link Wi-Fi app store page.

  2. Launch the D-Link Wi-Fi app from the home screen of your device.

  3. Tap on the Install New Device button at the middle of the screen.

  4. Tap Scan the QR code to scan the setup QR code located in the Quick Install Card and proceed to step 6. Alternatively, you can tap Continue without scanning to proceed to step 5.

  5. Choose COVR from the product options.

  6. Select COVR-1100, COVR-1102 or COVR-1103 from the list of available devices depending on your COVR system. Tap Next to continue.

  7. Click Set up New Network.

  8. You will now be guided through a step-by-step process for setting up your COVR network. Simply follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation and the configuration process.

  9. Wait for booting up to complete and make sure the COVR LED is Blinking Orange and then click Next.

  10. Connect your device COVR-110.

  11. Look for SpinTel on the ISP list, otherwise, select Others and click Next.

  12. Select PPPoE for the connection type and enter the username and password provided to you via email when the order was completed.

  13. Personalise your WiFi credentials and click on Next.

  14. Create your device new login password and hit Next.

  15. Select "Keep my device up to date automatically" and hit Next.

  16. Double-check the summary setup and hit Save and wait for it to reboot.

  17. Click Not Now for the Cloud Service.

  18. Your COVR-1100 is setup successfully. Hit Finish.

    Setup Wizard Configuration

    1. Connect your COVR to the NBN box. Make sure the ethernet cable is connected from the UNID port of the NBN box to the Internet port of your COVR. Next,

    connect the power adapter and plug the COVR Point into a power outlet.

    2. Wait for the COVR Point to boot up. When the Status LED starts blinking

    orange, wirelessly connect your computer to the Wi-Fi name (SSID) printed

    on the back of the device, or on the included Quick Install Card.

    3. With your device connected to the D Link COVR, enter http://covr.local./ into the address bar of a web browser.

    4. If prompted with a login screen, click Log In to proceed. No password is enabled by default. Otherwise, log in with the password you set for the modem router.

    5. When you are logged in, the device's home page will open, displaying its

    current connection status. If it is disconnected, click Click to repair to bring up

    the Setup Wizard and hit Next.

    6. Select your Ethernet on WAN access type and look for SpinTel on the ISP list, otherwise, select Not Listed and click Next.

    7. Select PPPoE for the connection type and enter the username and password provided to you via email when the order was completed.

    8. Personalise your WiFi credentials and click on Next.

    9. Create your COVR Device Login Password.

    10. In the final steps, you can see COVR mesh AP connection status and connected client details.

    Manual Configuration

    1. With your device connected to the D Link COVR, enter http://covr.local./ into the address bar of a web browser.

    2. If prompted with a login screen, click Log In to proceed. No password is enabled by default. Otherwise, log in with the password you set for the modem router.

    3. When you are logged in, the device's home page will open, displaying its

    current connection status. Click Settings or Go to Settings to proceed with Manual Configuration.

    4. Click Internet and choose PPPoE from the drop-down menu under My Internet Connection.

    5. Enter the username and password provided to you via email when the order was completed.

    6. Click Save when you are done and wait 3-5 minutes for the modem to go online, then test the service.
