Important: Confirm your BYO modem is "unlocked" and is compatible with the NBN service at your premise. To get connected via your FRITZ!Box modem, you'll need to log into your modem gateway.
Note: This can be done on most mobile devices, but we recommend doing these steps with your PC if you have one.
Logging into your modem
1. To access modem gateway, enter fritz.box or 192.168.178.1 in the address bar of a web browser. If the IP address does not work or if it has been changed, check your router's IP address. For instructions, click here.
If the FRITZ!Box is set to factory settings, set a password for accessing the user interface and click "OK" and then "Next".
2. Click Internet from the menu to the left of the screen and select Account Information. Look for SpinTel on the ISP list, otherwise select "Other Internet Service Provider" if it's not listed.
3. Enter the username and password provided to you via email. Tick "Check the Internet connection after "Apply' has been clicked".
4. Click Apply button to save your settings.
The FRITZ!Box will test your connection to the Internet. If successful, click OK. Otherwise, if the connection is not successful, check your cables and try again.
