To get connected via your TP-Link modem, you'll need to log into your modem gateway.

Note: This can be done on most mobile devices, but we recommend doing these steps with your PC if you have one.

Logging into your modem

To access modem gateway, enter http://tplinkmodem.net or http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar of a web browser. If the IP address does not work or if it has been changed, check your router's IP address. For instructions, click here.

1. Log in with the account you set for the modem router, otherwise check the default username and password on the sticker of your modem.

2. Once logged in, go to Basic > Internet page. Click on the drop-down arrow and look for SpinTel on the ISP list, otherwise, select Other if it's not listed.

3. Select PPPoE for the connection type. Enter the username and password provided to you via email when the order was completed.

Click Save to apply the changes.

Note: If other settings are presented, accept default values

Once done, go to Advanced > Operation Mode and select Wireless Router Mode.

The modem will automatically reboot if you will change/update the Operation mode.

Wait 3-5 minutes for the modem to go online, then test the service. Reboot modem if needed.

If you are still unable to connect, you may try the following:

  • Go to Advanced > Network

  • Click the Edit button on the WAN connection you have setup.
Otherwise, click the Add button if nothing is showing up, or the existing connection type is not the PPPoE you have set up earlier.

The Internet Connection Setup will display (your PPPoE credentials), scroll down and click on the drop down arrow for Advanced.

Update the MTU size to 1492 and click OK to apply.

Note: The normal MTU value for most Ethernet networks is 1500 bytes, whilst for PPPoE connections is 1492 bytes. Change the MTU only if it is necessary.
