The Netgear AC1750 Model R6400 is a popular nbn™ modem router that will also work with SpinTel for FTTC, HFC, FTTP, and Fixed Wireless NBN services.

How Do You Connect Your Netgear AC1750 Model R6400?

  1. Connect the WAN port at the back of your modem to your NBN Connection Box.

  2. Connect any of the 4 LAN ports on the back of your router to your PC (optional)

  3. Connect the Power port on the back of your router to your power socket

To get connected via your Netgear AC1750 Model R6400 modem, you'll need to log into your modem gateway.

Note: This can be done on most mobile devices, but we recommend doing these steps with your PC if you have one.

How Do You Log in To Your Netgear AC1750 Model R6400 Modem?

To access the modem interface, please make sure your device is connected to your modem through a wired or wireless connection.

1. From your browser, type in http://www.routerlogin.com in the address bar and hit Enter.

If the IP address does not work or if it has been changed, check your router's IP address. For instructions, click here.

2. Use admin for username field and password in the password field then click Login.

The BASIC Home page displays.

How Do You Set Up Your Netgear AC1750 Model R6400 Modem?

Once logged in, select Internet then set up the following:

  • For the Does your Internet connection require a login? setting, select the Yes radio button.

  • In the Internet Service Provider list, select the encapsulation method: PPPoE

  • Enter the username and password provided to you via email.

  • Click the Apply button to Save.

Note: If other settings are presented, accept default values

Wait 3-5 minutes for the modem to go online, then test the service. Reboot modem if needed.

If you are still unable to connect, you may try the following:

  • Go to ADVANCED > Setup > WAN Setup.

  • Update the MTU size to 1492 and click Apply to save.

Note: The normal MTU value for most Ethernet networks is 1500 bytes, whilst for PPPoE connections is 1492 bytes. Change the MTU only if it is necessary.
