To get connected via your Netgear modem, you'll need to log into your modem gateway.

Note: This can be done on most mobile devices, but we recommend doing these steps with your PC if you have one.

Logging into your modem

To access modem gateway enter http://www.routerlogin.com in the address bar of a web browser. If it does not work or if it has been changed, check your router's IP address. For instructions, click here.

Use admin for username field and password in the password field then click on Login.

The BASIC Home page displays.

To specify the settings for a cable or fiber Internet connection:

1. Change the default WAN connection method:

  • Select ADVANCED > Setup > WAN Setup

  • Select Must use Ethernet WAN for the WAN preference

  • Click Apply

Your settings are saved and the modem router restarts

If you use a WiFi-enabled computer or mobile device to connect to the modem router, you might need to log in again.

2. Go to Basic tab and select Internet then set up the following:

  • From the Select Country menu, select the country in which you use the modem router.

  • From the Select Internet Service Provider menu, look for SpinTel. Otherwise if not listed, choose Other.

  • Select Internet for the virtual interface.
Make sure that the Enable This Interface check box is selected

  • Scroll down to the Does your Internet connection require a login? section and select the Yes radio button

  • Enter the username and password provided to you via email.
Click Apply to save the new settings.

Wait 3-5 minutes for the modem to go online, then test the service. Reboot modem if needed.

To view or specify the settings for a VDSL Internet connection:

Select BASIC > Internet

  • From the Select Country menu, select the country in which you use the modem router.

  • From the Select Internet Service Provider menu, look for SpinTel. Otherwise if not listed, choose Other.

  • From the Transfer Mode menu, select VDSL(PTM).

When you select VDSL(PTM) from the Transfer Mode menu, the only option in the DSL Mode menu is VDSL2

  • Select Internet for the virtual interface.
Make sure that the Enable This Interface check box is selected

  • Scroll down to the Does your Internet connection require a login? section and select the Yes radio button

Enter the username and password provided to you via email.
Click Apply to save the new settings.

Wait 3-5 minutes for the modem to go online, then test the service. Reboot modem if needed.

If you are still unable to connect, you may try the following:

  • Go to ADVANCED > Setup > WAN Setup.

  • Update the MTU size to 1492 and click Apply to save.

Note: The normal MTU value for most Ethernet networks is 1500 bytes, whilst for PPPoE connections is 1492 bytes. Change the MTU only if it is necessary.
