1. Power Port

Press to power on/off the device.

3. Gigabit LAN ports

Connects to networkd devices such as computers, switches, storage (NAS) devices and game consoles.

4. Gigabit WAN port

Connect an Ethernet cable that is connected to a WAN

5. DSL port

Connects to an DSL-enabled telephone line.

6. WPS button

Press to start WPS pairing mode.

7. Wi-Fi button

Press to enable/disable Wi-Fi.

8. Reset button

To reset the device to its factory default settings, use a paper clip to press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds.

How Do You Connect Your D LINK DSL-3900 Modem?

Depending on your nbn connection type, connect to one of the following:

1. If there is no NBN Connection Box installed, connect the DSL port on the back of your modem to your phone wall socket using a phone cable.

If there is an NBN Connection Box installed, connect to the WAN on the back of your modem to your NBN Connection Box.

2. Connect any of the LAN ports on the back of your modem to your PC (optional)

3. Connect the power port on the back of your D LINK DSL-3900 modem to your power socket.

4. Plug the NBN connection box, if there’s any, into the power socket

How Do You Log in To Your D LINK DSL-3900 Modem?

To get connected via your D-LINK modem, you'll need to log into your modem gateway.

Note: This can be done on most mobile devices, but we recommend doing these steps with your PC if you have one.

1. With your device connected to the D Link modem, enter http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar of a web browser.

If the IP address does not work or if it has been changed, check your router's IP address. For instructions, click here.

If prompted with a login screen, click Log In to proceed. No password is enabled by default. Otherwise, log in with the password you set for the modem router.

How Do You Set up Your D LINK DSL-3900 Modem?

There are 2 ways to configure your D LINK DSL-3900 modem:

Setup Wizard

1. Once logged in, the Setup Wizard shows up, click Next to continue

2. Select your WAN access type:

ADSL - for ADSL service

VDSL - for FTTN or FTTB service

Ethernet - for FTTC, HFC, FTTP or Fixed Wireless service

3. Look for SpinTel on the ISP list, otherwise, select Not Listed and click Next.

If the router does not detect a valid Internet connection, a list of connection types to choose from will be displayed.

4. Select PPPoE for the connection type and enter the username and password provided to you via email when the order was completed.

5. Personalise your WiFi credentials and click on Next. Follow the prompts (details below) until it reaches the Summary page and you're all set.

The Setup Wizard can also be found on the home page.

The router’s home page displays the current connection status. Click the Click to Repair button to run the Setup Wizard (the same steps as above).

You can also launch the Setup Wizard by clicking Wizard from the Settings menu on the bar on the top of the page.

Below are the steps on how to manually configure your DSL-3900 modem:

1. From the Home page, click Internet from the Settings menu on the bar on the top of the page.

2. Select your WAN access type:

ADSL - for ADSL service

VDSL - for FTTN or FTTB service

Ethernet - for FTTC, HFC, FTTP or Fixed Wireless service

3. Click Advanced Settings on the right side, then scroll down to WAN Settings

4. Select PPPoE for the connection type and enter the username and password provided to you via email when the order was completed. Hit SAVE.

Wait 3-5 minutes for the modem to go online, then test the service.
