A solid green light indicates a connection to a device. The light will blink during data transmission.
A solid green light indicates that the Wi-Fi is ready.
The light will blink during the WPS process.
A solid green light indicates a connection to a USB device.
A solid green light indicates a proper connection to the ADSL/VDSL enabled telephone line.
A solid green light indicates a proper connection to a broadband service. A red light indicates that IP assignment has failed.
Connect to an DSL-enabled telephone line and with the supplied microfilter/splitter.
If using an external modem, connect your broadband modem to this port.
LAN Ports (1-4)
Connect Ethernet devices such as computers, switches, storage (NAS) devices and game consoles.
Press to start the WPS process and automatically create a secure connection to a WPS client.
Insert a paperclip in the hole on the bottom of the device located the serial number sticker and wait for several seconds to reset the router to default settings.
Press and hold this button for about 10 seconds to enable or disable the Wi-Fi network.
Connector for the supplied power adapter.
Press to power the router on or off.
Connect a USB storage device to this port to share media to your network.
How Do You Connect Your D-LINK DSL-G225 Modem?
Depending on your nbn connection type, connect one of the following:
If there is no NBN Connection Box installed, connect the DSL port at the back of your router to your phone wall socket.
If there is an NBN Connection Box installed, connect the WAN port at the back of your router to your NBN Connection Box.
Connect any of the 4 LAN ports on the back of your router to your PC (optional)
Plug in the power cable and turn your DSL-G225 on using the Power button.
How Do You Log in To Your D-LINK DSL-G225 Modem?
To access the modem interface, please make sure your device is connected to your modem through a wired or wireless connection.
1. From your browser, type in http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar and hit Enter.
If the IP address does not work or if it has been changed, check your router's IP address. For instructions, click here.
2. Next, select admin from the drop-down menu and then enter your password. The default password is admin.
How Do You Set up your D-LINK DSL-G225 modem?
On your first login you will be directed to the Setup Wizard page, otherwise, click Wizard on the left menu and select Setup Wizard.
The Setup Wizard will guide you through the following steps, click Next to proceed.
Step 1: Change Device Login Password
The default password of admin account is "admin", in order to secure your network, please modify the password. You can click Skip to ignore the step
Step 2: Set the time and date
This step of the wizard allows you to configure your Time and Date settings.
Step 3: Setup Internet connection
1. Select the appropriate WAN service type
ETH WAN - if you are connecting through FTTP, HFC, FTTC or FW service
ADSL - if you have an ADSL connection
VDSL - if you are connecting through FTTN/B service
2. Select your country and ISP. Look for SpinTel on the ISP List, otherwise, choose Other if it is not on the list. The protocol should be set to PPPoE.
3. Enter the username and password provided to you via email when the order was completed. Hit Next to continue.
Step 4 & 5: Personalise your WiFi credentials and click on Next until it reaches the Summary page. Hit Save/Apply.
Wait 3-5 minutes for the modem to go online, then test the service. Reboot modem if needed.
