Setting up NBN Connection with Netcomm NL1901ACV
Estimated Reading Time: 2 MinutesNormally, when you switch from Wireless broadband to NBN using NL1901ACV modem, we’ll set up everything for you. In case you are setting up the connection on your own, here are the steps on how you can manually configure the modem.
Steps to Configure Netcomm NL190ACV
1. To access the modem’s interface, please make sure your device is connected to the modem (wired or wireless) and enter 192.168.20.1 into the browser address bar.
2. At the login screen, enter "admin" in the Username field and the modem’s serial number in the Password field, then click OK. The modem serial number, along with the admin login details, can be found on the bottom of the hardware.
3. Once logged in, you can proceed either of the following ways:
Basic Setup
On the Basic Setup, select the WAN connection type according to your service:
- ADSL - for ADSL service
- VDSL - for FTTN/B service
- Ethernet WAN - for FTTP, HFC, FTTC or Fixed Wireless service
- For VDSL connection type, select PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE) with no VLAN Tag and hit Next.
- For Ethernet WAN connection type, simply select PPP Over Ethernet (PPPoE) and hit Next to proceed.
Enter the username and password provided to you (via email when the order is completed). Hit Finish and you’re all set!
Advanced Setup
1. From the Advanced Setup menu, select WAN service and click Add
2. Select your preferred configuration, then click Next
3. Select PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE) for the WAN service type, hit Next
4. Enter the username and password provided to you (via email when the order is completed).
5. Hit Next until you reach the Summary page. Click Apply/Save to complete!
Wait 3-5 minutes for the modem to go online, then test the service. Reboot the modem if needed.
