How to Configure Your TP-Link TL-WDR4300 Modem

This guide will assist you in connecting your TP-Link TL-WDR4300 modem to the SpinTel network

Is TP-Link TL-WDR4300 Modem NBN Ready?

The TP-Link TL-WDR4300 is a popular nbn™ modem router that will also work with SpinTel for FTTN/B, FTTC, HFC, FTTP and Fixed Wireless NBN services.

To get connected via your TP-Link TL-WDR4300 modem, you'll need to log into your modem gateway.

Note: This can be done on most mobile devices, but we recommend doing these steps with your PC if you have one.

How Do You Log in To Your TP-Link TL-WDR4300 Modem?

To access the modem interface, please make sure your device is connected to your modem through a wired or wireless connection.

1. From your browser, type in http://192.168.1.1 or http://tplinkmodem.net in the address bar and hit Enter.

If the IP address does not work or if it has been changed, check your router's IP address. For instructions, click here.

2. If prompted with a login screen, Create a strong password and click Let’s Get Started to log in.

How Do You Set up Your TP-Link TL-WDR4300 Modem?

Once logged in, Click Quick Setup on the top of the page. Then follow the step-by-step instructions to connect your router to the internet.

Wan Connection Type will appear, select PPPoE for the connection type:

Enter the username and password provided to you via email when the order was completed.

Personalise your Wi-Fi credentials and click on Next. Follow the prompts (details below) until it reaches the Summary page and you're all set.

Click the Save button to complete the Quick Setup.

If the Setup Wizard fails, follow the manual configuration below.

For FTTN/B nbn service:

1. Go to Basic > Internet page.
Look for SpinTel on the ISP List, otherwise, choose Other if it is not listed.

2. Select VDSL for the modulation type. (VLAN ID should NOT be enabled)

3. Select PPPoE for the connection type then enter the username and password provided to you via email when your order was completed.

Click Save to apply the new settings.

For FTTP, FTTC, HFC or Fixed Wireless nbn service

Find the WAN port (labeled as LAN4/WAN) on your modem router, and connect it
to the NBN box and follow the steps below:

1. Go to Advanced > Operation Mode

2. Select the Wireless Router Mode, and click Save. The modem router will reboot.

3. Next, go to Basic > Internet

Select PPPoE for the Connection Type, then enter the username and password provided to you via email when your order was completed.

Click Save to apply the new settings.

Wait 3-5 minutes for the modem to go online, then test the service. Reboot modem if needed.
